to the artist bios page Marina Tosic http://www.angelfire.com/musicals/marina_toshich Marina Tosic was born in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, of Serbian and Jewish parents. After high school she left for Krakow, Poland to study at the "Jan Matejko" Art Academy where, after five years, she received a Master of Arts degree. She also has her artwork at numerous galleries and two Israeli museums. The Haifa Museum of Modern Art and the Israeli Museum in Jerusalem have her work in their collections. Shortly after graduating in 1991 she went back to Sarajevo, but had to flee because of the war. She has lived in Israel for the last 10 years. During this time Marina enhanced her knowledge of Israeli folk music and middle eastern music at the Bar Ilan University by plaing el'oud - oriental lute and Pan Flute.
